Monday morning saw the arrival of 4 of our Good News x Moments of Magic pups after being beautifully reared and schooled by Claire Conley in Swindon. Dog Dog and Jenyfromtheblock are two stunning looking fawns owned by the Drake family, Lively Lulu is owned by The Annual Top Dogs syndicate while Bonita Moon arrives for Steve and Harry Finch. They’ve been schooling well in Bicester and should be ready to continue their careers at Oxford in the next few weeks.

Jacktavern Chief headed North again this time to Glenn Foot after being sold to new connections. He’s a lovely young dog and will be great fun. We certainly wish them all the best and a big thanks to Ron Grey and the excellent transport service that he provides.

There was an early start to Wednesday morning to collect a lovely new puppy called Droopys Discovery. He’s a beautifully bred June pup by our former kennel star Signet Ace out of top brood Droopys Alice. He arrives for owner Andy Weller and is set to be renamed Jazzy Ace. He’ll be given plenty of time to settle in before beginning his trials in Oxford.

Paul had the gallop in great order again on Wednesday as we put 24 dogs through their paces. Droopys Doris, Sir Oreo, Mustang Ojay and Union Rebel all moved well as they continue their comeback from injury and will be ready to trial soon. Kranky Drake enjoyed being back in work following his cough and will be back in plenty of time for the Puppy Classic at Nottingham.

It was a quiet Friday evening with just 4 runners. Dreamin Reggie made it 2 wins from his last 3 races when running a lovely 3rd bend to take the lead from kennel mate, Union Piper before going onto win by 1 1/2 lengths in 26.68. This was his best time since stepping back up from sprinting and he’s getting stronger all the time.

The 450m maiden competition came along at a great time for Dreamin Francis as she continues to show the benefit of some consistent racing and she followed up her heat win last week with an all the way success in the final on Saturday evening. Francis had always shown really good potential during schooling and won in 26.83 while still a puppy at Oxford but a couple of seasons and a few niggling injuries has meant we’re only just starting to see the best of her. She flew the lids to lead home kennel mate, Droopys Doll by 2 1/2 lengths in 26.77 and we were delighted with the performance of both ladies.

Coppice Dakota headed for pastures new on Saturday to join Luke Morrison at Central Park. She’s a fast youngster and clocked 26.89 when winning an A3 at Oxford but she just lacks a yard of early pace and will benefit greatly from the tougher four bend trip.
